The game was extremely simple, although enjoyable, but the system of jumping over rocks with the jets didn't seem to work very well. To me, it just seemed too hard to get over the rocks without losing health. Overall, it was alright, but one aspect confused me: is it a tank with a shark on top of it, or a shark that happens to have a tank bottom half?
Author's Response:
thats a really good question, I guess its whatever you want it to be. The jumping isn't that great, but it is possible to jump over rocks and beat the game.

This game is seriously raising the bar for shooters, and it may be the best Thing-Thing yet (3 was pretty awesome, though). It's longer, which is good, but levels seem to be more generic and basic platforming. The removal of the health bar is probably good for making it easier to regain health, but it can sometimes be difficult during crowded fights. The biggest change is the fact that enemies no longer spawn randomly, which has its draws and its drawbacks. Now, one is able to run away from a fight, but it also makes the game much more repetitive. The levels are less open, which is disappointing, but necessary due to the fixed spawn points. Overall, the game is great. A lot was learned from the earlier Thing-Thing games, but there's certainly some elements of Thing-Thing 3 that could have been useful in 4.

I love sniper games, and this one has a decent story too. I would like more missions, but the ones in there are good, albeit a little easy. Great job.

This game is amazing. The graphics are retro awesome, the dialog is hilarious, and the combat system ROCKS. I can't wait to start playing part two. I can't think of any serious problem with it, or even many minor problems. Well done.

Not bad, it's a fun little game. The campaign mode is fun, and the challenge mode adds to it. I'd like to see a bit more added to it, but overall. not bad.

Great game with a great idea, but a bit too easy. The puzzle/platform aspect reminds me of the recent Flash version of Portal. Very fun overall, and I'd like to see a sequal.

Not bad, but a little bland. The animations are very well done, and the high score feature adds some longevity. Still, more modes and options would be nice.

A little on the short side, but good nonetheless. Some of the puzzles were excellent, and the little easter egg on level two was pretty funny. =)

Plenty of modes and lots of weapons. In some modes I do get some lag, but that's probably my computer's fault. My only real complaint is that it isn't Thing-Thing 4. =)

This game is amazing, one of my favorites. The level design is great, the puzzles are difficult, and 40 levels gives you plenty to do. The game experience is dampered somewhat by a couple of bugs, such as boxes suddenly being reset after being shot through a portal, which was annoying. Also, this game isn't exactly original (it's based on the real Portal). Still, this game is incredible and fun for those of us without the real thing. =)
